On Thursday, August 16th we were taking training at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City.  We were learning about the Perpetual Education Fund that the church has to help people in other countries get education or training that will lead them to better employment.
Behind my companion and I, on the left are the Checkets,   Next to them in the back row are the Burns and in front, the Barnes who are going to Mexico City.

I've got to get better about retaking blurry photos!  This is Elder and Sister Cox - Independence Missouri Mission.  They are standing next to the display of all the mission president couples around the world.

Elder and Sister Wiggins are going to Hungary on a Humanitarian Mission.

Elder and Sister Burns are going to Sierra Leone  in Africa.  They will be the first there on a mission.  On a previous Mission they were the first missionary couple in Slovakia.

Here's Sister McConkie.  She'll be going to Manhattan, New York.  I missed Sister Elderidge, her companion.  Have to get her picture tomorrow.

Elder and Sister Pratt are from Alberta, Canada.  They are going to the Republic of Georgia.  No, not the state of Georgia, the Republic of Georgia...North of Turkey, used to be a part of the USSR.

Elder and Sister Wood are going to Minnesota.

This was the view of Temple Square and the Salt Lake Temple from the 10th floor where we had our classes.  You can also see the Tabernacle off to the left of the temple.  I've been inside before.  Unbelievable accoustics inside!
