Tierra Santa - Holy Land Theme Park

Last week we missionaries went to see Tierra Santa, the Holy Land Theme Park.  Sort of like walking into old Jerusalem in the time of Christ and discovering that everyone speaks Spanish there!  This would be a really cool place to take a Sunday School or Primary group!

Roman Guard

Here´s most of the group, Vickie and Dan Smith, Janet and Doug Knapp, Joann and Irval Mortensen, Lynn and David Flinders, Mike and Tonya Ford.  Only two missing are Karen Casós and me!
Los 10 Mandamientos - the 10 Commandments

Mary and Joseph heading to Bethlehem to pay their taxes.

The Birth of Christ

There were angels singing...

And a new star...

but I don´t remember anything about fog...

The wise men made it through the fog

and so did the shepherds

and the King of Kings was born in a stable

Dancers

Colorful....

And dizzy!

Spinning dancer.

Need to crop this one of all the dancers...check back

The Ark of the Covenant

This little girl reminded me of my granddaughter, Ally.

Most places just have boards with paintings, this place had real figures with the face missing.  Couldn´t talk Karen into a picture.  I would have like one on the chariot!

Artesan shops

The creation.

Got a photo of Karen with the Knapps, Flinders and Fords in the background

The Last Supper.  The ladies (in old Jerusalem costumes) gave us matzoh as we left.

All of us watching the resurrection presentation to the Messiah music.  In the middle you can see Lynn Flinders, the Knaps and the Smiths (It was easy to find them in their green jackets)

I want to say that these were the faces of the faithful seeing Christ , ....

But they were actually watching one of the many airplaces passing overhead heading towards Jorge Newberry Airport.

I was wrong, there was a ride, a Merry-go-around with Middle Eastern animals

Those who climbed the mountain said the view was really something, but my feet were complaining so I stayed below.

A fisherman across the street at the Rio de la Plata.

Someone renting fishing poles

And the ever present Parilla (Grill)  Sorry about the focus!
