I promised pictures so here are some I've taken over the last few days in Argentina:

Here is our apartment as taken from our terrace.  The doorway on the right actually goes to the bathroom on one side and the hall door on the other.  We will be here for a few more weeks while they are sorting out the apartments and the incoming and outgoing Senior Missionaries.  Hopefully in 3 weeks or so we will be in an apartment.  They are trying to get us something close to the Subte, so we won't have to walk so far to catch the subway.

We look off our little terrace down onto the patio off the eating area of the hotel. Over the wall we can see some of the tall buildings in this part of the city.

This is one of the Senior Missionary Couples' apartments.  Small but nice.  You can see the pass-thru to the efficiency kitchen.

And now for a walking tour of Plaza de Mayo.  No, it is not named for my family, it is named for the 25 of May 1820, the Revolution that gave Argentina it's independence.  You can just see Sister Casos on the right.  You can see the commemorative statue at the end of the walk.

There are several really beautiful fountains in the Plaza.  They are replanting the grass and flowers this time of year getting ready for Spring to begin...remember the seasons are opposite to the US because we are below the equator!

And here is the Casa Rosada (The Pink House).  It was once the residence of the President, but now it is the president's offices and Presidente Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner lives elsewhere. You can see the pale blue and white flag of Argentina flying over the top of the building.

That's all for tonite!  I'll get new pictures when I can....
